Qualimatest the transition from CCD to CMOS
Sony announced March 5, 2015 the end of the CCD of production for the year 2020 (official letter).
Qualimatest implemented updating its platform and products to CCD cameras with CMOS replace. The range of Basler Ace CMOS cameras are used in most applications.
There are still cases where we still recommend the CCD, they will disappear, because new CMOS sensors with excellent performance to hit the market (eg Sony IMX250). A comparison of the performance of the sensor is in the following documents:
