Control station for measuring the daytime running of completed watches and movements

The measurement is based on taking two time-spaced product images that are temporally referenced through a precision timebase. The time indicated by the watch or the movement in both states is given by the position of the hands which is defined in the high resolution image. The step can thus be calculated thanks to the difference between the difference of state of the watch and the time difference defined by the time base.

The QMTTimeProcessing algorithm takes into account discontinuous displays (needle jumps for example) and display desyncs. The new laboratory mode allows the high speed and continuous measurement of the position of the indicators to allow advanced analysis of the operation of the movement.

In order to guarantee the ability to measure precise diurnal walks, the QMTProTiems integrate the following technologies

Digital cameras with very high resolution

2'500 x 2'000 pixel (5MPixels) digital cameras with an acquisition rate of 90Hz. The camera is electrically synchronized with the time base so that the images can be timestamped with guaranteed accuracy

Multipurpose Episcopic Lighting

In order to be able to measure movements in caps and heads of watches, a dual versatile lighting has been integrated. It allows optimal image quality and versatility

Time base

Qualimatest has developed a specific time base for the QMTProTime. It offers a relative measure of time with a level of accuracy

GPS time base NTP and PTP (options)

The computer system is integrated with the equipment in order to have a completely integrated solution that does not require computers

The control program is performed using an intuitive interface including program templates, standard control equations and functions that automatically detect and propose room features. The operator can thus select the controls and define the tolerances, the control program is created automatically. The possibility is also offered to add functions available in the QMTStore or to develop a custom function through the Fit For You program.
